Good and Honest Plumbing is a licensed, owner-operated plumbing company based in Nevada, Texas. Co-owners Preston Giardina and Caleb Thurman serve residential customers across north and east Dallas-Fort Worth, available 24/7 for emergency and scheduled work.
Preston and Caleb both came up through large plumbing companies in the DFW area. They learned the trade, but they also saw how the big-company model works from the inside: the upsells, the markups, the gap between what a customer actually needs and what they end up paying for.
Preston went independent in late 2023. Caleb joined him in November 2024, and the two formed Good and Honest Plumbing out of Nevada, TX. The name says what they believe the job should be: good work, honest pricing, and a real person standing behind both.
When you call, you talk to the person who will do the work. When they quote a price, that is the price. If the repair carries a warranty, it goes in writing.
Built his reputation on sewer work and tankless water heater installs before co-founding Good and Honest. Homeowners who have gotten quotes from larger companies and then called Caleb tend to say the same thing: same quality, but they are dealing directly with the person doing the work.
Handles sales, operations, and plumbing, often all on the same call. He is the one answering the phone at 9 PM when something breaks and the one in your yard the next morning fixing it.
Between the two of them, they are the sales team, the field crew, and the owners. No franchise fees passed along to customers, no dispatchers screening calls, no subcontractors showing up in someone else’s truck.
Good and Honest Plumbing is based in Nevada, Texas, and covers a service radius of about 60 miles. The busiest areas run from Allen to Prosper and from Rockwall to Greenville. The team also takes regular calls in McKinney, Frisco, Garland, Forney, Quinlan, Sherman, and Denison.
For larger jobs like full sewer replacements, gas line work, or cast iron repipes, the crew will travel to Arlington, Waxahachie, and other parts of the metro. The company operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
